"As the deer pants for water brooks,
so pants my soul for You, O God."
(Psalm 42:1)

From time to time ELI makes resources freely available to encourage Christians and to promote the truth of the gospel.

Exploring the Gospel:
Eight Lessons

Exploring the Gospel: Eight Lessons by John Smith provides an overview of the essentials of the Christian faith and the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is based on the teachings of the apostles in the New Testament. The lessons can be studied individually, but it will perhaps be more enjoyable to study in a small group
with the help of a teacher over a period of one to two months.

Discerning the Times: How the Left Influences the Church

Discerning the Times: How the Left Influences the Church by Johan Ferreira is a short article that reflects on how Leftist political agendas are influencing the church. Christians, especially Christian leaders, must discern the times and understand the challenges of our current social context.

Spiritual Abuse

Regrettably, spiritual abuse may occur in the church and among Christians. Christians, theological students and church leaders need to be aware of the problem and recognise the
characteristics or symptoms of spiritual abuse.

Dark Night Experience:
Survive, Revive and Thrive

Dark Night Experience by John and Vivian Moy is an excellent resource to assist those who are going through or who have gone through disappointment and pain. It deals with theological, pastoral and practical questions regarding the meaning of suffering. The book will also help pastors and counsellors to encourage those going through challenging times. John and Vivian Moy has had a lifetime of ministry experience in helping many find healing and restoration.

ELI Two Year
Bible Reading Plan

The two year Bible reading plan encourages Christians to read through the whole Bible in two years and through the Psalms every year. Sections from the Old Testament and the New Testament alternate throughout the year. There are five readings per week, from Monday to Friday, with time to catch up over the weekend if a section is missed during the week.
